As we begin what we sincerely hope is an exciting chapter in the history of HSO for 2024, we wanted to start the year with a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone for their support over the past year. Look what you made happen! 
Thanks to anyone who donated your valuable time, sent items for the animals, fostered, attended a fundraiser, donated money to sustain our mission to serve the community, or shared our posts to help reach goals…YOU are the reason we can help!
Permitting for the Phase 1 dog kennels will take place this month and we will need your support more than ever. Here are some ways you, or your employer, can help make this need a reality!
- Donate directly to the building fund
- Sponsor a dog kennel
- Offer an in-kind donation of construction materials or labor during the bidding process
- Sponsor (or donate to) an event
- Host a fundraiser
- Assist with fundraising and grant writing, please email events@thehso.org
A few of our 2023 achievements:
- Received financial support for CCHS to remodel the meet and greet trailer into a multi-use space
- Finished Phase 1 building plans and specifications
- Received honorable recognition by Senator Jeff Merkley
- Received some grant funding for technology and programs
- Implemented a new donor database **if you need a statement, or are missing a receipt, please email events@thehso.org
- Received a grant to provide behavior/training support in 2024 to fosters, adopters, and Crook County residents considering relinquishing their animal (dogs AND cats)
